Social Security Scam

We received a report from a resident that they have received numerous calls from someone who says they are from Social Security.  Social Security will not call you. Please be aware and do not give any personal information to someone who calls saying they are from Social Security especially if they want you to give them your Social Security number as they will NEVER ask for it. If you should receive a call like this please report it.  If you have any concerns you may call Social Security’s number 1-800-772-1213.

Freezing temps alert

Superintendent of Public Works John Wright advises residents who are susceptible to freezing water lines let your water trickle for the next few days.  The weather forecast  for the next seven days is calling for multiple days of below zero temperatures.  If you are one of these residents please call Village Hall (815-778-4484) and let the girls know that you will be trickling your water so they can make a note of it for the next billing cycle.  The Village Hall is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:00 pm.  Thank you.
