Animal Control

Whiteside County Animal Control has been contracted by the  Village of Lyndon to enforce it’s leash law.

If you see a dog running loose between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, you can contact Animal Control directly at 815-625-3507. Anything after that, you will have to contact local law enforcement. The penalty for a dog running at large is $75. If your dog is not currently vaccinated and/or registered with Whiteside County and is running at large you could be issued a separate $200 County citation in addition to the Village’s citation.

 

Notice. Section 7-6, paragraph (c) of the Whiteside County Code reads as follows; any owner of a dog four months or more of age which is not officially inoculated against rabies or registered with Whiteside County is subject to a fine of at least two hundred dollars ($200.00). A separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during which a violation occurs.
